A Dog's Life is a side quest in Velen.

Follow the road to the east of Oreton. Eventually you will reach a pack of wolves attacking a stray dog. Since the wolves are at level 7, it shouldn't be too difficult to defeat them. Once you've killed the wolves, using Igni and heavy strikes with your sword, just follow the stray dog and he will lead you to a house.

Bandits are waiting there, once you've defeated the bandits go inside the house. Upon entering the house, use your Witcher Senses to find the treasure located underneath the floor boards.
