Walkthrough
For the Advancement of Learning is the final side quest with Keira Metz. Your choice in this quest determines her fate for the remainder of the game.
SPOILER WARNING: Below is the fate of Keira Metz based off your decisions.
Swim to Fyke Island from your evening with Keira. Head to the tower to find Keira.
She found what she was looking for—notes that could create a cure for a plague. She plans to sell it to King Radovid for money and protection. You have three choices.
Fighting Keira - If you tell Keira that you will not let her do that, she becomes angry. She will attack. Avoid her lightning attacks and kill her. You burn the notes and leave her on Fyke Island. Obviously, she has no part to play in the game if you choose this course of action.
Sell the Plans - You can agree with Keira and send her off to the king. Although, King Radovid is hunting witches. Later on in the game, you discover the people of Novigrad were not so kind. Keira has been burned at the stake.
Go to Kaer Morhen - Keira will heed your warning and agrees to go to Kaer Morhen instead. She will be there to help, since Geralt expects the Wild Hunt to attack. You have the option to ask her for the notes before she leaves, which she will give you without a fight (unsure of final consequences, but it seems the most moral choice).
