A Dream Come True

Take a moment to take in the beauty of your surroundings. Don't worry it gets better! Follow the yellow brick road as it runs through the forest and along the stream. Climb up the waterfall run upstream. Once you pass under the bridge, hop up to the voices above to find Syanna and the Wicked Witch.

The fight with the Wicked Witch will start with her summoning an enemy, typically either an Archespore or a Panther. Take the enemy out first, then deal with the witch. Have Aard ready to go, then wait for Wicked Witch to come swooping down to use it. This will knock her off her broom. Roll away from her broom that can whack you, then proceed to to take down the witch.

You have to watch out for her pot smash. Once you see her raise her pot, dodge or roll out of the way, otherwise you'll be stunned and the witch will get right back on her broom and send in two more enemies. If you avoided the attack, get into the routine of attacking twice, dodging, then repeating.

A Boy Who Cried Wolf

Run towards the marker on your map, going through the village and continuing down the yellow brick road. A group of Pixies will ambush you, but don't worry, they are not much of a threat. Each one can be taken down in a few hits, so go from one to the other, dodging whenever one tried to attack.

Continue on and you'll find a boy surrounded by wolves. There are four wolves to take down, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem as they like to stand from a distance and growl for a bit. Igni works well here.

From here your goal will be to find the three magical beans. While the land is beautiful and a little bit overwhelming, everything can actually be visited by going down either of the paths.

Flint for Sale?

From the boy you saved with the wolves, take the path on the right. At the first junction, fight off the Pixies, then take a right. This will lead to small town with the Little Flint Girl. Time has not been kind, as the girl has resorted to selling drugs to make ends meet.

Turns out she doesn't have a magical bean, but she does have Syanna's ribbon she lost years ago. Without any mention as to why the ribbon is important, you can win the ribbon by playing a game of Gwent, or you can cough up 500 coin. If you do get the ribbon,

The Golden Egg

There is a side quest that you can only find in the fairy tale land and that can be missed. When you get to the small town with the Little Flint Girl, read the bulletin to find the Contract: Loosey this Goosey! and to start the Duck, Duck, Goosed! side quest.

Three Little Pigs (Blue Bean)

Head back onto the main brick road and continue on. You'll pass the tiny village and eventually make it to the lone house standing tall near three demolished and broken down homes. As the tale would have it, the three pigs must be inside. Use Aard to blow down the home and rescue the pi- what?? They're hostile? Looks like you'll have to fight all three!

The pigs do a lot of running around before they attack, leaving you a lot of time to find one attack. Watch out for their headbutts and especially their unsuspecting back kicks. Igni is also effective on these animals. Once they've been taken care of, run into the demolished home and snag the blue magical bean from the small stool.

The Big Bad Wolf (Red Bean)

Continue on the yellow brick road and enter the forested area. The path will eventually lead you to peaceful and pretty property where you'll find... the Big Bad Wolf lying on the floor. Hungover and over it, the Big Bad Wolf won't play along with the tale as he three Little Red Riding Hood down the well.

Hop into the well and swim directly below you to find the dead body. Loot her red cape and then start swimming towards the exit. Now outside, walk onto shore to start a cutscene where Syanna will throw on the cape and head for the wolf.

The Big Bad Wolf is a pretty standard fight. He'll let you attack him several times, and his long legs will make it easy for you to tell when to dodge. With him defeated, cut open his belly and grab the appropriately colored red magical bean.

Sleeping Bears

After taking down the Big Bad Wolf, continue down the yellow brick road and keep an eye on your map for a junction in the road. Follow the short path to the bear's den where you'll find three bears sleeping. Touch the food and all three will awake. The bears are really slow and easy to avoid, so take your time and you'll have plen*ty of bear material to collect.

Follow the Will-o'the-Wisp

As you approach the tower in the center of the map, look to your left and you should find a glowing orb. Walk near it to have it start moving. Follow it to a nearby fallen knight. Loot the body for new armor and pick up Vitis, a Steel sword.

Climbing the Tower (Yellow Bean)

Now there's just one more place to go. Head towards the center of the map and go up to the base of the tower. Jump and grab onto the stairs, then start making your way up.

Once you reach the top, enter the room to find that Longlocks has hung herself... with her own hair. Let's hope this is the last tragic twist on these old fairy tales. Of course, the wraith of Longlocks will take to fighting you. As you fight her, Longlocks will summon soldiers who can easily be taken down in one hit, but take note that while you're distracted, Longlocks will heal. Yrden is good at stopping her in her tracks.

With that complete, walk over to the bed to find the yellow magical bean. Walk out through the window and jump off the plank. You'll land in the water, don't worry!

End of the Rainbow

Before planting the beans, you can also travel to the end of the rainbow to find a pot of gold. Interacting with it releases a panther.

Giant in the Castle

Use the marker on your map to guide you to the garden where you'll plant the beans. Fight off the Pixies, plant the beans, the climb the giant beanstalk.

At the top you'll face off with the Giant. His powerful attacks should be avoided at all costs, and watch out when he dives into the clouds. He'll pop back up wherever you're standing, so be ready to dodge and roll. Make use of Qven here as well.

After the fight, you'll be able to trigger a romance with Syanna. From there, right towards the castle. As you cross the bridge, you'll notice another Will-o'-the-Wisp. Follow it down below the bridge and enter the cave. Here you'll find the silver sword Gesheft that you can grab after lighting the campfire the sword is stuck in (Dark Souls, woo!). To exit, continue into the cave to return to the surface.

Start running across the bridge again. In the courtyard, find the well and hop inside to end the mission and to start Tesham Mutna.
