Brad Pitt is an actor, producer, philanthropist and father. He was born December 18, 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Before coming to Los Angeles in 1987 to take acting classes with Roy London, he studied journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia with a focus on advertising.
Prior to booking work as an actor, he dressed in a chicken suit and encouraged patronage of El Pollo Loco, as well as driving a limousine.
Pitt started his acting career in television appearing on Head of the Class, Growing Pains, Another World, Dallas, Thirty-something and 21 Jump Street.
His first role that garnered broad public attention was in Ridley Scott’s Thelma and Louise in 1991 where he plays a small time crook that provides a pivotal turning point to the story line. From there, he went on to a wide variety of roles from a serial killer in Kalifornia, to a cop searching for a serial killer in Seven. Other notable roles include Legends of the Fall, Fight Club and Seven Years in Tibet for which he was banned from China for life due to its controversial subject matter.
He is part of a modern day rat pack, which includes George Clooney and Matt Damon in the Ocean’s 11, 12 and 13 series. In 1996 Pitt was nominated for an Oscar for best actor in a supporting role for his part in Twelve Monkeys. He also starred in the seven- time Oscar nominated Babel, although he himself, was not nominated.
Pitt was married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston from 2000-2005 and later began a relationship with Angelina Jolie, whom he met while the pair filmed Mr. and Mrs. Smith. The couple has three adopted children, from different foreign countries and one biological daughter, of whom photographs earned over ten million dollars, all of which her parents donated to undisclosed charities.
